Minister says suspension of several lines not to cause AvtoVAZ loss

MOSCOW, Jun 10 (PRIME) -- Car producer AvtoVAZ will not have losses from partial suspension of production because of shortage of electronics, Industry and Trade Ministry Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Thursday.

"I hope that there will be no loss because AvtoVAZ used the pause and will not stop this summer for maintenance works," Manturov said.

He added that during suspension, the first electronic components were delivered and production restarted on Thursday.

On May 31, the company said it would suspend two lines for two days due to the lack of components.
